Job Purpose: This position is responsible for performing key underwriting tasks to achieve business objectives using available tools and within authority levels; using underwriting skills to assist in creating and maintaining automated processes; and will be accountable partnering with key stakeholders including sales, customers, and other TruStage business areas, as appropriate.

Job Responsibilities:
- Evaluate customer risks and exposures for assigned product line(s).
- Apply underwriting knowledge, judgment, and appropriate underwriting philosophy.
- Review new policy applications, declaration pages, questionnaires, and other support documents for completeness of information.
- Underwrite policies up to predetermined amount.
- Provide training and consultation to sales partners and customers regarding insurance policies.

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related professional work experience.
- 2-4 years of experience preferably in underwriting, claims, or closely related field.
- Attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Organizational, analytical, planning, and creative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate with internal and external customers.
- Ability to develop and use collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
